| I have read several threads where people are frustrated with sending admin what they consider hard proof about reselling and nothing is done. I have also seen some where people say that admin took quick care of the problem. I have also read that the final decision won't be known by the person that reports something because admin won't divulge the private discussions between Etsy and the person that got reported.
Like you said earlier, you got your money. The entity that is being hurt the most by what seems to be a lack of concern and response from Etsy is the handmade community.

| I'm very disappointed in Etsy these days. If I wasn't selling enough I'd be leaving Makes me sad because I used to love Etsy and would stay even if I wasn't selling enough! | |

| Well nothing at all yet. I guess I will just let this go, but tell her outright why I cancelled the sale if she ever comes back. This is just crazy now.
Wendy, I totally agree with you. I am here because I am selling and reaching my customers. However on each of my business cards is my dot.com that just routes to Etsy. Just in case something happens or along the way, my old customers can find me if need be.
I will eventually be making my site cart ready and a stand alone site, so that I can add thigns there that I don't sell on Etsy and route my customers there. I just have to hire someone to do that, since I have no clue how to do anything.

| Michelle, If you are ever willing to pay a monthly fee, I think it was about $20 per month, yahoo small business had great looking templates that included a shopping cart. (They had several levels of options and I think you got a cart at $20 per month.) Another great looking site that will cost about the same per month once you add a shopping cart is homestead.com . I'm not trying to push you out, believe me, I'm just throwing you options that have looked good to me if I ever get to that level. Right now I don't think I could push enough business to a stand alone site. (I very rarely seem to be getting any views at the efreeme site, but at least I am getting a lot of my images on the web in one place for free.) | |

| The earrings are not identical and less than half price of the other shop. How does she think she can ship them for 50 cents? I hope that her business skills are such that she is out of business soon. She can only be losing money from the couple of listings I have seen. | |

| I notified the other seller. She said that they were NOT purchased from her but must just be the same charms. It still looks super fishy. |

| Very similar! Glad to know at least she's not reselling someone else's stuff. It's so disheartening to see this type of thing happen on Etsy. I wish they were more helpful. I'm not claiming I invented anything, just that this was my item and she is reselling.
From what I have been reading on EtsyCallOut though, it seems they are letting more and more resellers stay.
rumor has it that they want to be another Ebay, which is why they took the Handmade portion out of their slogan.

| A lot of people wanted Etsy to include vintage in their slogan, but instead of including it, they dropped the handmade part. | |

| oh gosh, I guess I'm out of the loop. didn't realize that they took "handmade" out of the slogan. That is very disheartening!!
My Etsy fees are still usually less than what I"d have to pay to have my own website, even the free ones, I'd have to pay someone to do all that coding for me, I don't understand it at all!

| Wedy, I know exactly what you mean about the coding! haha! I was lucky enough to have a friend just navigate the page to Etsy automatically off the bat, but the rest is too much! | |
